The project takes its name from the design & build process, a collaboration described as the ‘perfect storm’ between the designer, owner builder and a team of craftsmen to create an interior that dared to be different.
Borne from a brief by two design professionals to re-design an inner-city warehouse conversion in Camperdown, they sought a minimalist lifestyle with an interior to match.

Perfect Storm was conceived by the award-winning interior design studio, Killing Matt Woods, as an intimate, yet utilitarian environment. Inspired by Brutalism and a celebration of the neighbourhood’s industrial heritage, extruded geometries and moody tones result in a minimalist and precise interior.
Not all projects start and end this well. So much so, that the result lit up the internet. Design editors, nationally and internationally, have given this project more applause than seems fair to other projects!
