Art Auction for Environmental Defenders
To celebrate its 30 years as the ‘environmental lawyers for the public’, and raise funds to continue its work, the NSW Environmental Defender’s Office (EDO) is holding a silent online auction of Aboriginal art, concluding with drinks in Sydney on Wednesday, 3 June 2015, at Gilbert + Tobin Sydney, 6–8pm, where more than 40 works will be displayed.
You can view the catalogue terms and conditions, and register and bid online here, with bidding to be finalised on the night. Attendance is by RSVP.
The EDO was formed in 1985 after the Environmental Law Association of NSW saw a need for a legal service to help the community use new planning, development and heritage laws to protect the environment. There is now an EDO in every State and Territory, but EDO needs public support to help continue their work defending the environment and advancing the law. Find out more about the work of the EDO here.
